Position Summary
The Stock Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring efficient material support for packaging operations. This position involves safely operating material handling equipment to transport components and finished products between the Warehouse and Packaging areas. Adherence to safety protocols, proper inventory management, and accurate documentation are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Transportation:
Safely transport materials to and from staging areas using powered material handling equipment. A valid C.B. Fleet forklift and electric walkie license is required. Ensure proper verification of lot numbers, quantities, and locations using computer systems. - Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate pull/push locations by following FIFO (First-In-First-Out) guidelines. Check messages on the RF gun to ensure seamless operations. - Load Handling:
Identify completed loads, properly stretch-wrap and label them with accurate ID tickets. Transfer and receive loads to their appropriate locations using the RF gun. - Workplace Maintenance:
Keep the work area clean and organized in compliance with U.S. and international GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. - Equipment Maintenance:
Change equipment batteries as needed, logging required information. Perform and document daily lift checks. - Additional Duties:
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Packaging Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum of one year of related experience, preferably in material handling or packaging operations. - Certifications:
Valid forklift and electric walkie license required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, including in areas that may not be handicap accessible.
- Occasional use of ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage/position loads weighing up to 450 pounds.
Reporting
Reports directly to the Packaging Supervisor.
