JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Manager, Category and Shopper analytics is responsible developing insights and analytics that identify category and brand growth opportunities and support the development business solutions that drive successful in-store activation. This person works in partnership with Customer Strategy, Marketing, Consumer Insights and Sales teams to support development of insight driven executions, including category growth platforms, product placement, distribution priorities and new item commercialization to drive increased sales and profitability for both our brands and the retail partners. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES/ACTIVIES:

  • Integrate and analyze Consumer, Shopper, and Category insights to identify and quantify both short- and long-term Category and Brand growth opportunities.
  • Identify and support development of shopper insights plans needed to support successful execution of key category and brand selling initiatives and new item launches.
  • Develop compelling insight driven selling stories that support retailer sell-in of key initiatives.
  • Execute in depth category reviews, delivering recommendations that influence brand and category strategies and executions.
  • Expand shared learning and category insights across internal and external organization
  • Strong cross functional and third-party collaboration providing continual feedback and communications.

QUALIFICATIONS:          

  • Ability to transform data into insights, recommendations and compelling selling stories
  • Detail and deadline oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent thought-leader with self-motivated and self-directed work style
  • Strong project management, prioritization and resource allocation capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and effectively work cross functionally
  • High Level of expertise and proficiency in syndicated POS and consumer panel data (IRI/Numerator)

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
•            Must have a bachelor’s degree
•            Must have at least 8 years of CPG category management relevant experience, – either HQ or field based.
•            Experience extracting and analyzing IRI/Nielsen POS and Numerator Panel data.
•            Experience with analysis and application of shopper and consumer research
Travel: 5% ability to travel via car, plane, rail.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY: 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
